Hetty Feather by Jacqueline Wilson
A story of a girl who was left at a foundling hospital, raised in foster care for the first 6 years of her life, and then back to the foundling hospital. Sad at times, but an addictive and fascinating read. Highly recommend this book.
Imitation by Heather Hildenbrand
A YA fiction book set in the future where affluent people can choose to have a clone “made” of themselves or their children, someone to stand in for them in case of danger or death. The main character is one of these “imitations,” standing in for a rich senator’s daughter. This book is the first of a series, and the story was not very much concluded in this book, but as we all know how much I enjoy reading sequels (pause not), I won’t finish the series. It was interesting enough and I enjoyed it.
